Examination and Promotion
- During the Academic session the school will hold regular tests in all the subjects
besides quarterly, Half yearly and Final Examinations.
- No pupils may absent himself / herself from any examination except when prevented
by reasons of health, in which case, a Medical Certificate may be required. There
will be no other examination at a later date. The Examination will not be anticipated
or postponed for any reason. Absence from one or more subjects involves the loss
of marks for these subjects and excludes the pupil from being reckoned in the order
of merit or rank on the examination or from receiving a prize.
- The standard of passing is 40% marks in each subject. The annual marks comprises
of the following: 50% from the two terminal examinations and internal assessment
based on class tests, class work, home work, neatness, assignments, attendance and
discipline.
- The pupil failing in the examination for two consecutive years will be asked to
leave the school. Willful breach of any of the examination rules or any dishonesty
resorted to is punishable with suspension from the Examination or cancellation of
the paper or dismissal from the school, depending upon the gravity of the offence.
Parents are expected to accept the decision of the school authorities, regarding
promotions as final. All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to
the discretion of the principal and the decision shall be final.
